About me
Chris Harvey serves as President of the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO), where he provides leadership for the organization's global mission of advancing consumer product safety through collaboration, education, and the exchange of best practices among regulators, industry, consumer organizations, testing laboratories, standards developers, and academia.
Since becoming involved with ICPHSO in 2016 and joining the Board of Directors in 2020, Chris has held numerous leadership positions, culminating in his election as President. He chaired the highly successful 2026 ICPHSO Annual Meeting and Training Symposium, introducing expanded foundational and advanced product safety training, innovative educational programming, and enhanced opportunities for collaboration across the global product safety community. As President, he is focused on strengthening ICPHSO's international partnerships, expanding member value, and ensuring the organization remains the world's leading neutral forum for product safety professionals.
Professionally, Chris is Senior Vice President of Product Innovation & Industry Engagement, where he leads product innovation and strategic collaboration within the global product recall and crisis management industry. With more than 20 years of experience, he has managed more than 1,200 recalls across the pharmaceutical, medical device, food and beverage, and consumer products sectors, including many of the industry's most complex and high-profile events. His work centers on helping organizations, regulators, and industry partners collaborate to protect consumers, strengthen product safety systems, and successfully manage product recalls and crisis events.
