Elliot F. Kaye is a partner at Cooley and the former chairman of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), where he served as the nation’s chief product safety official and led the agency’s efforts to protect the public from dangerous products. During his tenure, he modernized the CPSC’s structure and was the primary architect of the CPSC’s compliance and enforcement playbook still in use today. At Cooley, Elliot draws on his CPSC experience to advise clients across the full life cycle of product related needs, particularly in the fast-moving applications of physical AI and other tech in everyday consumer goods.
