About me
Eva Sinkovic is the Deputy Head of Product Safety and Rapid Alert System unit in the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers of the European Commission.
The unit is, inter alia, in charge of the EU General Product Safety Regulation and the management of the Safety Gate, the EU Rapid Alert for Dangerous non-food products.
Among other responsibilities, Eva oversees the international activities of the Unit which include bilateral cooperation as well as multilateral cooperation. She serves as bureau member and vice-chair of the OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety and as member of the UNCTAD informal group on consumer product safety.
Eva has 10+ years of expertise in the field of consumer product safety. Before joining the Commission in 2014, she was project-based consultant for public sector and not for profit organisations in Italy and abroad.
She holds a master’s degree in Economics, specialising in political economics and a PhD in social and cognitive sciences.
