About me
Geraldine Cosh is a consumer product safety and injury prevention specialist with 20 years of experience helping organisations improve the safety of their products and protect consumers.
She began her career as a Safety Engineer in a testing laboratory, progressing through roles in business development, account management and product intelligence consulting. This breadth of experience has given Geraldine a deep understanding of product safety from both technical and commercial perspectives.
For the past nine years, Geraldine has led Geraldine Cosh Consulting Ltd, working with a wide range of organisations to help them strengthen their product safety practices and achieve the highest possible standards. Her work has included product recalls, risk assessments, training and expert witness assignments.
A passionate educator, Geraldine has delivered training to more than 1,000 people across more than 20 organisations, including government bodies, retailers, manufacturers and charities. In 2025, she supported the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) with the Business Certificate of Competency in Product Safety (BCCPS), the UK's first course enabling professionals to achieve a certificate of competence in product safety while connecting with industry experts and peers.
Geraldine is passionate about building knowledge and collaboration within the product safety community, recognising that product safety professionals can sometimes work in isolation. Through her consulting, training and industry engagement, she is committed to helping organisations become safer, more knowledgeable and better equipped to prevent harm.
Based in London, Geraldine is also a mother of two. Her family is central to her life and provides an everyday perspective on the importance—and challenges—of preventing accidents and keeping children safe.
