About me
Born in Barcelona in 1958 and graduated in Law from the University of Barcelona (UB), Isidor García Sanchez's professional career is linked to the world of Law, particularly in the field of consumer Law, as well as public administration and teaching.
From 1983 to the present, he has practiced as a Barrister at the Barcelona Bar Association, where he has been part of the Civil Law and Consumer Law Section of the Culture Commission. During this period, he has also provided various professional services: coordinator responsible for the Regulatory Commission of the same Bar Association, legal advisor and general secretary of the Consumers Union of Catalonia- UCE, or regulatory advisor to the Council of Bar Associations of Court Attorneys of Catalonia, among others.
In the public sector, from 2003 to 20011 he was Head of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Justice of the Catalonian government (Generalitat de Catalunya) and he served as Director General of Resources of the Administration of Justice in the same Ministry.
Isidor García has always been linked to university, and since 1982 he has served as a professor of Civil Law and Business Law at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Barcelona (UB). He has also taught Civil Law at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
